The Launch of the C2 Taser Personal Protection Device

At the beginning of this year Taser International launched their latest consumer stun gun at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. As this company has such a great record as far as product liability litigation lawsuits goes in relation to the use of the law enforcement stun gun it is no surprise that they have now decided to branch out a produce one for the general public.

Over the last year or so Taser International have had to weather the storm of controversy with regard to their products and just how lethal they are? Plus they have had to deal with issues relating to the deaths that have been caused from the use of their taser devices by law enforcement personnel around the US. So if there seems to be so much controversy surrounding the use of such devices by our well trained law enforcement and military personnel what is going to happen when the general public is able to get their hands on it.

However, Taser International have spent well over a year in developing the C2 Taser which has been specifically designed for use by the general public. Certainly it provides the user with just the same amount of power as that found in a police issued taser however it is much friendlier (comes in a variety of colors) as well as being lighter and also less technical. In order to discharge the weapon all the user needs to do is press down on the button with their thumb, but before this can be done they need to move the safety cover first. What is also more important about this new version of a taser is that the C2 is not shaped like a gun as many of the other models that are available today. To be honest if you were to see the C2 Taser for the first time you may just mistake it for one of the latest electric razors that you can buy in any local electronics store.

But probably the best piece of news to come out from the launch of the C2 Taser is that when shipped to a purchaser it is not activated and can only be activated by Taser International once the purchaser has passed a security check so no felons or juveniles should be able to get their hands on this device legally.
