By: Andrew John

Preventing stress is often very difficult. This dangerous health condition, capable of ruining one's health completely in a very short time, still lack one simple treatment. The problem is caused by the fact that it may be caused or influenced by several dozens factors and the exact reasons of the stress depend solely on the individual situation.

There are countless potential reasons of stress. Death of a friend, health problems, being overweight, marriage problems or lack of support from workmates - all of them may make you feel stressed and may be subsequently responsible for all psychic and health problems you will suffer. In the 21st century stress is inevitable and learning how to overcome it should be an imperative of anyone willing to live one's life with one's body and mind intact.

The first and the easiest thing you can do to prevent stress is to eat better food. In other words, to start a healthier diet. The more junk food you eat, the more probably you will get stressed. You need healthy food - fresh fruits and vegetables instead of snacks - in order to feel really refreshed. Also, remember to savor your meals and never eat meals on the go.

Another important thing is participation in some regular exercise program. Physical exercises help all muscles relax and increase the secretion of endorphins, making people feel better. What is more, exercises will increase one's condition, making the body less prone to weariness.

Other method of minimizing negative effects of stress is taking medications. While some of them are prescription-only medicines, most of anti-stress drugs are truly food supplements which make sure that a person will receive enough vitamins and microelements to stay in good shape. During the stress our organism uses much more of vitamins a day than we normally take, creating potentially dangerous deficiencies. Often making up for those losses is the most important tasks of a stressed person.

Friends and family, however, are two most important factors when it comes to coping with stress. In order to get rid of stress you need help and support of others, so don't push them away! Only with their assistance you can hope to eliminate problems causing you so much unwanted stress.
