How To Hypnotize Someone With One Five Minute Lesson

By: Mark Myers

Would you like to discover how to hypnotize people? Is hypnosis just make believe? Do you believe it is completely fake? Do you think it takes years of study and practice?
Here are some simple facts.
Hypnosis is nothing more than directly contacting the subconscious mind.
There is nothing unnatural about hypnosis, in fact you have been doing it all your life without knowing it.
There is nothing inherently evil or bad about hypnosis. Most religions require it (think prayer).
Hypnosis is not hard, it is easy and fun to do.
With this simple exercise you will know how to hypnotize people, and debunk all the myths you may have thought about hypnosis. Ignore you prejudices from stage hypnotists and movies, this is hypnosis 101.
First find a guinea pig and have them be comfortably seated with both feet on the ground.
Have them take three very deep slow breaths then close their eyes and relax.
Let your volunteer know that they will not be hypnotized, and will remain fully aware of everything that happens and that is said.
Next breathe in through the nose filling the lungs completely with air. Hold it for three seconds or so, then slowly exhale through their mouth completely deflating their lungs and relaxing their head, neck and shoulders.
Breath in again deeply and slowly, this time while they exhale, have them relax their arms, chest and abdomen.
Have them take a final slow deep breath, in through the mouth, hold it and exhale slowly. This time have them relax their pelvis, legs and feet.
Ask your subject to put their arms straight out from their body.
Have them imagine a bag of groceries hanging from one of their arms. Feeling the weight of the bag, not too heavy, only a couple of pounds, just enough to notice the weight.
On the other arm, have them imagine a bunch of helium balloons tied to their arm.
Now, close your eyes and picture the bag on their right arm and describe it completely. Where it's from, the color, the contents, leave nothing out.
Now, close your eyes and make a picture of the balloons on their other arm. Tell them whether they are tied with yarn, kite string or green ribbon. How many are there, and what colors are they. Leave no detail out.
Now return to the bag. Start adding more content to the bag, a bottle of ketchup, a can of chicken noodle coup, a bag of carrots. Use whatever comes to mind, but be specific, keep painting the picture. Have them start to notice their right arm is beginning to struggle under the added weight. It is getting harder and harder to hold it up.
Now return to the balloons. Add some more balloons. Describe the new balloons, tell them their arm is getting lighter and lighter. Tell them it is getting harder and harder to keep their arm in front of them as the balloons pull up on their arm.
Return from one arm to the other back and forth, making one arm lighter and the other arm heavier.
After a couple minutes of description, reminding them to stay relaxed, you will notice their arms beginning to move. They may move only a couple of inches to a foot.
Paint them a very vivid picture in Technicolor, don't leave out any details, use your imagination. When one or both arms have moved, tell your gracious guinea pig to open their eyes and look where their arms are.
They will be astounded, and so should you. You just learned how to hypnotize people.
