Alcohol and Drugs to Get Away

Alcohol and drugs are often used to get away from reality. When this happens people become addicted to not having to deal with real world problems. They use their drug of choice to self medicate and to get away from problems. This does not work.

You can imagine the consequences of not having their drug. The drugs and alcohol are keeping the feeling of low self-esteem or guilt camouflaged with a drug induced euphoria.

All this culminates into making alcohol and drugs a vital life force for those who are deprived of compassion or the strength to face reality.

We obviously have problems if this is the case. Using drugs and alcohol to get away can really mess a person's mind up. This can require a few months to a few years of help, but one thing is for sure; an addiction stays in the back of your head for the rest of your life. Many times this will result in suicide or some other type of horrible tragedy.

Alcohol and drug abuse can be looked at as a one-way ticket to what a priest would say eternal damnation.

And all it would take is for someone to step in and grasp control of the situation, and essentially save a life.

With time and a lot of help this person will not need to get away anymore. With your help this can happen.

The drugs and alcohol that have taken control are the enemy. Treatment is the weapon. Kill Away.
