It might still take a while though, before the practice gains widespread acceptance. There have been a few recorded deaths in alcohol treatment facilities due to the direct effects of withdrawal from the substance. This has caused such homes to exercise more caution in attending to their patients. Although it is advised that the best way to quit is to do it suddenly and totally, such incidences challenge this theory.
