A Guide to the International Freight Transport and Logistics Exhibition TransRussia

By: Bob Smith

Russia's largest International transport and logistics event, TransRussia is an annual expo which has attracted a large number of professionals, exhibitors and visitors in each of its shows. The success of the TransRussia exhibition has caused it to receive some prestigious awards like the UFI (World Association of Exhibitors) and RUEF (Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs) awards.

The thirteenth TransRussia event is scheduled to take place from between 21st to 24th of April 2009 at Moscow's Expocentr and will cover an exhibition area of almost 13,000 square metres displaying the products of over 500 exhibitors from almost 30 different countries. The much awaited TransRussia Expo has proven itself to be an International platform bringing together suppliers from different transport sectors like shipping lines and ports while also acting as a meeting space for freight forwarders, logistic service providers and specialists in material handling equipment, and so on.

TransRussia's ideal venue - the Expocentr, located in the world's largest urban area in Moscow, adds to its popularity not only because it attracts huge markets but also because it is easily accessible. With five primary commercial airports connecting Moscow to different parts of the world and well built transportation infrastructure offering various options via Moscow's nine rail terminals, ship routes, cruise and bus routes, accessibility to the Russian capital and the venue will be no problem.

Additionally, Moscow's local transport systems like the Moscow Metro which is one among the world's busiest metro systems along with monorail lines, taxis and private cars completely eliminate any doubts of getting sufficient transportation while attending TransRussia.

The previous TransRussia exhibitions have had different sections dedicated to individual markets. While some sections were dedicated to financial services and information technologies, others included transit infrastructure, corollary services, logistical services and transportation services.

The TransRussia exhibition is much awaited to by both exhibitors and visitors as it is a single platform displaying different vehicles, warehousing equipment items, containers and lift-away vehicles among others. Last years exhibitors had received a great response from the exhibition, with almost 94% of them being fully satisfied with their earlier participation and a major percentage expecting orders from genuine clients who had earlier visited their stands at TransRussia. While many exhibitors have successfully used this event as a launch pad for their businesses, TransRussia is the perfect choice for building a new customer base with clients from different sectors of this industry.

Considering the fact the Moscow is a major economic centre, visitors and exhibitors do not have to worry about accommodation as Moscow has an array of hotels providing infinite rooms to suit individual needs of luxury and comfort. Also, Moscow's mid-budget hotels also maintain high standards attending to guests with their best services without charging high tariffs.
